Xbox 360 and Windows Game Pieces

Unseen
The object of this game is to set all of the butterflies in motion controlling an invisible protagonist. There are no set boundaries on the game and the velocity has been randomized so that the player can never be sure how fast they are going. The player must find the perfect balance between the amount of velocity and direction to "beat" the game. If there is no direction and all velocity the player will spin. If there is direction and no velocity then the protagonist will not move at all. It is an Xbox 360 game.

Control what you can't see
Toxic: HN279363 applies the gameplay of Unseen to a "Not In My Neighboorhood" piece. The juxtaposition of trying to control something you can't see with the location of a place of domestic battery starts to reveal the emotional states found within that experience. It is a windows game. The game is available as a free download here.

Silence
Silence is a work from the series "Not In My Neighborhood." It is comprised of 4 oil paintings that are 12 inches square and a 5th panel that is an Xbox 360 game. The paintings utilize formal strategies of non-objective work to reference depiction of the ineffable to reveal the veil of silence surrounding domestic battery. The game employs locations of domestic battery and an rss feed. Every time the "A" (AGAIN) button is pushed a new location and quote from the rss feed is presented to the viewer. When considered together the paintings and the game start to speak to the symbiotic relationship between silence and the reoccurrence of domestic battery.
